Andi “Highlight Machine” Vrtačić stopped Sofian Bouafia in round two to headline BRAVE CF 108 on Saturday 5 September, in front of a home crowd at the Roman amphitheatre in Pula. It was the first BRAVE Combat Federation event in Croatia, making it the 18th European country and the 39th country overall to host the promotion. There were no Latvians on the nine-bout card, and as of 20 October BRAVE has no next event on its calendar. Here’s where things stand.

Vrtačić vs Bouafia: the finish came in round two
Vrtačić boxed from range in the first round, moving in and out and mixing spinning kicks to the body with jab-cross combinations. In round two a sharp left hook to the chin dropped Bouafia, and Vrtačić followed him to the mat with unanswered ground strikes until the referee stopped it at 1:08. The broadcast team called it a good stoppage.
Abramishvili beats a former champion
In the co-main event, Georgia’s Lasha Abramishvili took a clear unanimous decision (30-27 on all three cards) over former BRAVE CF bantamweight world champion Stephen Loman of the Philippines. BRAVE called it the biggest win of Abramishvili’s career and says it strengthens his case for a shot at the vacant BRAVE CF bantamweight world title. No title fight has been booked yet.
The rest of the card
Italy’s Walter Cogliandro outpointed Austria’s Mathias Prehofer after three rounds. Slovenia’s Domen Drnovšek lost the first round to Erik Pletikos, then came back to take his back and finish him with a rear-naked choke in round two. Bosnia’s Amil Tutić knocked out Ivan Kiš with a knee as Kiš charged in. Maja Drnovšek won a technical decision over Aleksandra Sokołowska: Drnovšek landed an illegal but unintentional knee on her grounded opponent in round three, Sokołowska couldn’t continue, and the judges’ cards decided it.

The Latvian angle
No Latvian fought in Pula. The last Latvian to fight for BRAVE was middleweight Ričards “Lionheart” Ozols, who made his BRAVE debut at BRAVE CF 99 in Vilnius in October 2025, knocking out Georgia’s Tornike Gigauri with a head kick at 3:18 of round one. His latest BRAVE fight was BRAVE CF 107 in Burgas on 1 August 2026, a TKO (punches) loss to Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Ivanov at 4:59 of round two in an 81 kg catchweight bout. A week after BRAVE CF 108, Ozols lost to Juris Zundovskis by second-round KO in a B0 Fist bout at Bazara 0 Fight Club IV in Riga.
What’s next
BRAVE’s official events page says there are no upcoming events scheduled, and Sherdog lists none either. So as of 20 October 2026 no BRAVE CF 109 or any other BRAVE event has been announced, and neither has a next fight for Vrtačić, Abramishvili or Loman. We’ll update this page when BRAVE announces its next card.
