Krzysztof “Diablo” Włodarczyk, the former WBC and IBF cruiserweight champion, boxes Marcin “Thanos” Sianos in small gloves on Saturday, 24 October, at Enea RCS in Radom. It headlines KPS Food & Elmas Babilon 61, promoted by Babilon MMA, and it is the oddest main event in Europe this weekend: a 66-win boxer against a 9-9 MMA heavyweight who outweighs him by roughly 30 kilos, under rules the promotion still hasn’t fully published.

The rules: boxing, but not as Diablo knows it

This is a boxing match in small gloves. Polsat Sport and InTheCage both list it that way, and Włodarczyk confirmed the gloves himself in the cage at Babilon 60: “they’re small gloves”, he said, adding that he thought they were four-ounce but wasn’t sure. Sianos told InTheCage it will be three rounds. InTheCage reported on 7 October that additional rules would be announced, and as of 20 October Babilon hasn’t published them, so the round length, the weight limit and what happens in the clinch are still officially open.

Sianos, for his part, called it “Kołobrzeg boxing” and promised there would be no takedowns “if Krzysiek boxes and doesn’t hug me”. That line lands differently once you know his history.

Krzysztof Włodarczyk: a 45-year-old with a world-class right hand and a long layoff

Włodarczyk in the Babilon 60 cage on 26 September: the small gloves, the 18 months out and why he took the fight (in Polish). Watch more on Babilon MMA’s YouTube.

Włodarczyk is one of the best Polish boxers of the century. He won the vacant IBF cruiserweight title against Steve Cunningham in 2006, then held the WBC belt from 2010 to 2014, with wins over Giacobbe Fragomeni, Danny Green and, in Moscow in 2013, the unbeaten Olympic champion Rakhim Chakhkiev after getting up off the floor. He has only been stopped once in 71 fights, by Murat Gassiev’s left to the body in the 2017 World Boxing Super Series.

The late-career run has been kind to him. He beat former UFC fighter Fabio Maldonado in 2023, and in May 2025 he knocked out Adam Balski in the 10th round to win the WBC interim bridgerweight title. That was his last fight.

The reason for the gap came from Włodarczyk himself. Asked in the same Babilon interview why he hadn’t fought for the full WBC title, he said: “We let it go because at the turn of September and October 2025 we had heart surgery, and that dragged things out a lot.” Babilon boss Tomasz Babiloński put the layoff at a year and a half. Nobody outside his camp knows how a 45-year-old body has come back from that, and Saturday is the first real answer.

Recent form (boxing, BoxRec):

  • W KO 10 Adam Balski, May 2025 (WBC interim bridgerweight title)
  • W Pablo Cesar Villanueva, February 2024
  • W Edwin Mosquera, November 2023
  • W Fabio Maldonado, October 2023
  • W Sylvera Louis, May 2023

Marcin Sianos: 130 kilos, a granite chin and one infamous boxing night

Sianos’s most recent MMA fight in full: a unanimous-decision win over Przemysław Mysiala in the Babilon 59 main event, Międzyzdroje, 24 July 2026 (MMA, Polish commentary). Full fight on Babilon MMA’s YouTube.

Sianos sells fish for a living in Kołobrzeg, has a big social-media following and a 9-9 MMA record that tells you exactly what he is: big, brave and very hittable. Five of his nine losses came by KO or TKO. He was stopped by Oli Thompson in a Babilon heavyweight title fight in August 2024, then lost a decision to Michał Andryszak that Babilon’s own channel describes as a war in which Andryszak knocked out his teeth and broke his jaw while Sianos kept walking forward.

He went back to winning this summer, outpointing Mysiala over three rounds in the Babilon 59 main event in July, and in August he won a decision over Michał “Matrix” Królik at FAME 32 in Radom.

Then there is the boxing. His boxing debut, in Koszalin in March 2024, ended in a disqualification: having hurt the unbeaten Artur Bizewski in round two, he shot a double-leg and finished him with ground-and-pound, elbow included, and the referee threw him out (Sherdog’s report). He apologised publicly the next day. So when he says there will be no takedowns this time, he’s talking from experience.

Recent form (MMA, Sherdog):

  • W UD Przemysław Mysiala, Babilon 59, 24.07.2026
  • L UD Michał Andryszak, Babilon 48, 12.10.2024
  • L TKO 2 Oli Thompson, Babilon 46, 09.08.2024 (heavyweight title)
  • W UD Paweł Biernat, FEN 50, 02.09.2023
  • W SUB 1 Patryk Dubiela, Babilon 37, 28.07.2023

Styles: how it plays out

Włodarczyk fights tall behind a high, tight guard and counters with the right hand, and he goes to the body better than most. Against a man who will walk straight at him, that is the ideal setup: he doesn’t need to chase, he just needs to land first.

The small gloves cut both ways. Babilon’s interviewer made the obvious point that a tight guard doesn’t always hold up in small gloves, and Włodarczyk agreed you can’t survive a bombardment in them because something always gets through. That is Sianos’s whole case: one heavy swing, 30 extra kilos behind it, in gloves that hide nothing. But small gloves also make Włodarczyk’s punches far more dangerous against a man who has been stopped five times, and his accuracy is in a different league.

The size gap will matter most in the clinch. If the referee lets Sianos lean, push and grab, Włodarczyk’s legs at 45 will feel every second of three rounds. If it is policed like a boxing match, Sianos has very few tools that don’t involve getting hit on the way in.

Key factors

  • Layoff and health. 17 months out, heart surgery in late 2025 by his own account, age 45. This is the biggest unknown on the card.
  • Weight. About 99 kg against about 130 kg (InTheCage). Babilon hasn’t published a weight limit.
  • Short notice for Sianos? Not really. Sianos said he got about a month’s notice and trains once or twice a day at a gym next to his house.
  • Distance. Three rounds, per Sianos. Short fights favour the bigger puncher’s chances, but they also give Włodarczyk no time to get caught by fatigue late.
  • Discipline. Sianos’s boxing debut ended in a DQ. A repeat would end this one too.

Our pick: Włodarczyk by KO/TKO

This comes down to who lands clean first, and the man with 45 knockouts and a counter right hand is far likelier to be that man. Sianos takes a punch, and he’ll have moments when Włodarczyk’s back touches the cage, but he comes forward upright and in straight lines, and in small gloves Włodarczyk doesn’t have to hit him many times. The layoff and the surgery are why this isn’t a confident call on the round. Pick: Włodarczyk by KO/TKO inside the three rounds. If Diablo looks flat in the first round, Sianos’s chances go up fast.

Co-main: Piotr Kacprzak vs Isai Ramos (MMA, 70 kg)

Kacprzak (14-6) comes home. He trains at Cross Fight Radom, he’s a former Babilon featherweight champion according to InTheCage, and he arrives on two straight decision wins in KSW: a majority decision over Wojciech Kazieczko at KSW 114 (17.01.2026) and a unanimous decision over Slimen Hassaini at KSW 119 (20.06.2026). Venezuela’s Isai Ramos is 25 and finishes fights on the mat: his last win was a first-round armbar in April 2026, and his KSW debut in January 2024 was a 47-second armbar of Ramzan Jembiev. But he has lost three of his last five, two by TKO. Polsat Sport lists Ramos at 9-4; Sherdog has him at 12-4.

Pick: Kacprzak by decision. He’s the more complete fighter, he’s at home, and he has shown in KSW that he can win rounds without taking risks on the ground.
