Kristaps Zutis stopped Britain’s Clarke Morris in the first round at KOK 129 on Saturday 17 October at Xiaomi Arena in Riga, then shared the ring with Mairis Briedis to set up their fight on 20 March 2027. The main event, a King of Kings (KOK) MMA Bushido title fight between Ragners Dzigurs and Lithuania’s Vitold Jagelo, ended in a split draw after Dzigurs came in over the limit. Milans Volkovs won the boxing co-feature on points. Results below are from KOK’s official event page, cross-checked with Sherdog and the Latvian press.

Dzigurs vs Jagelo: a title fight decided on the scales
This was billed as Dzigurs’s return after a year away, unbeaten at 5-0 and fighting for the MMA Bushido European belt at 77 kg. It finished as a split draw over three rounds, and the scorecards weren’t the whole story.
In a statement published by Sportacentrs on 19 October, KOK said Dzigurs didn’t make the 77 kg limit at the official weigh-in, and both fighters agreed to go ahead anyway. Four judges scored it, and they split 2-2: two for Dzigurs, two for Jagelo. Sportacentrs had already reported, the morning after, that the judges first had Dzigurs winning and that a one-point deduction for the weight miss turned the win into a draw. According to that report, Dzigurs weighed in once, Jagelo’s team didn’t record it, he went to eat and then had to weigh in again, by which point he was over.
KOK also asked independent MMA judges to re-score the video. They gave round one to Dzigurs, scored round two even and gave round three to Jagelo, 29-29 overall. KOK stressed that this doesn’t change the official result, and it closed by saying a rematch would be the fairest way to settle it.
On the footage, Dzigurs did most of the hurting with kicks to the body and right hands, while Jagelo kept changing levels and looking for the clinch. Which of those you value more is exactly where the judges split.
Zutis vs Morris: inside a round, then Briedis
Zutis needed this one. Kaspars Kambala had stopped him in the first round of a boxing bout in September. Under MMA Bushido rules at heavyweight, he stopped Morris by TKO in the first round, his fifth pro MMA win against one loss.
KOK lists the result as a TKO in round one, and Delfi and Sportazinas reported that it was over in 48 seconds.
Then came the bit everyone stayed for. Briedis climbed into the ring, the two traded insults, and KOK announced Briedis vs Zutis for 20 March 2027 at Xiaomi Arena. The rules, weight and broadcaster still haven’t been announced.
Briedis, as quoted by Delfi (translated from Latvian): “This individual has been getting on my nerves for four years, and he has woken a sleeping volcano.” Zutis: “I like being the underdog.” The full story of the feud, both records and our early pick are in our Briedis vs Zutis preview.
Volkovs wins the boxing co-feature on points
Milans Volkovs beat Britain’s Joel McIntyre by unanimous decision over eight rounds under KOK’s Dreamboxing rules. Sportacentrs reported that Volkovs had McIntyre in trouble at the end of round three before the bell saved him, and that he stayed in front from there. Sportacentrs counted it as the 13th win of his pro boxing career.
The rest of the card
Igors Trošins stayed unbeaten, stopping Raitis Helmanis by TKO in the third round. Ralfs Vilcāns won when Giorgi Umekashvili didn’t come out for round three, and KOK lists it as a corner stoppage.
Nikijs Kurpenieks took a unanimous decision over Estonia’s Semjon Kamanin in the night’s third MMA Bushido bout. Jaroslavs Rezebergs edged Tauras Balsys on a split decision, Beatrise Rozentāle beat Kamilė Kuktelionytė by unanimous decision, and Nords Rudens won a split decision over Dmitri Protkunas. Emanuel Odiase, Stanislav Makarenko and Bohdan Myronets all won by TKO.

What’s next for the winners
Zutis has the biggest night of his career booked: Mairis Briedis, 20 March 2027, Xiaomi Arena. According to Delfi, he said he’d start camp with coach Reinis Garkalns the following Monday. Dzigurs and Jagelo are heading for a rematch if KOK gets its way, but no date has been set. KOK’s next show is KOK 130 in Freiburg, Germany, on 21 November, and no Latvian fighters have been announced for it yet. Nobody else from this card has a next fight announced.
